Prerequisites:
You must have HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator Firmware version 2.20 installed prior to deploying this version of the BladeSystem Firmware Deployment Tool.

Installation:

Contents of this ZIP file:
• ISO image
• Readme
• ZIP of RIBCL Scripts for Windows and Linux

The contents report for this release can be found at: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/doc/p2100743081/v41551/HP_BladeSystem_Firmware_Deployment_Tool_Contents-1.20.doc

ISO MD5 Checksum: 8d52472bc40c27f6ba386efb126aad86

Making a physical CD from an ISO image file:
Download the file to a temporary directory and extract the ISO image to that directory.
In order to create a CD from this ISO image, you must use a software utility capable of writing an ISO file to a recordable media such as CD-R.

Note: Simply copying the ISO file to a CD-R will NOT result in a usable CD. HP recommends you run MD5 Checksum on the Zip file and/or ISO image prior to burning the CD.   HP also recommends that you turn the verify feature "ON".

The ISO image can be deployed remotely or locally.

These methods require iLO Advanced License:

Deploy using the server's iLO Virtual Media applet:  Boot from mounted ISO image or boot from mounted physical CD image.
Deploy using RIBCL scripts:  Remotely deploy the ISO image to target multiple BladeSystem servers.  Reference the Readme included in the bbfimrware zip, which provides information and examples for remote deployment.
These methods do NOT require iLO Advanced License:

Deploy through Onboard Administrator and then connect through the server's iLO remote console:  Boot from mounted ISO image or boot from mounted physical CD image.
Deploy using the Onboard Administrator enclosure DVD drive:  Use the Onboard Administrator Insight Display to start CD on each enclosure, or use the Onboard Administrator console to start CD on each server in the enclosure.
Deploy using PXE boot service.
