This SoftPaq contains the ROM Update Utility (RUU) and ROM image for the iPAQ H3815, H3830, H3835, H3845 and H3850 Pocket PC 2002.

The Utility performs the following:

  • Replaces the current ROM image on your device with an updated version.
  • Backs up your current ROM image, if desired.
  • Restores a previous ROM image, if desired.

IMPORTANT: This update utility is designed to replace the current ROM image and erase the partnership and all user data and programs on your iPAQ Pocket PC. It is important for you to read and understand the information in the Readme file included with this update.

This utility uses a different method from the H3100/H3600 Series ROM Upgrade Utility to update the ROM. This new method requires the iPAQ Pocket PC to be manually placed in update mode. These steps are explained when running the utility.
