This SoftPaq provides the necessary drivers for the Compaq Internal 56K PCI(PM560LKI) Modem, an internal PCI modem card with functions including data, fax,TAM (telephone answering machine) and V.80 video-ready interface support.

The V.90/K56flex PCI modem card design is based on Lucent Technologies L56xVCS(Venus) PCI controller-based modem chip set. The Venus-PCI chip set is a new and integrated member of the Lucent Venus family of controller-based modems. It has a high level of integration with V.90 and K56flex technology, and provides all the advantages of controller-based modems, such as operating system independent operation and minimum CPU loading.
