This package provides a firmware upgrade that is specifically designed for 
Seagate Cheetah 15K.6 15,000 rpm Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Hard Drives in the 
supported workstation models.

NOTE: The following drive model strings and firmware revision levels, which are 
visible with most drive inquiry tools, correspond to drives for which this 
upgrade is applicable:

- SEAGATE ST3146356SS, HPS1
- SEAGATE ST3300656SS, HPS1
- SEAGATE ST3450856SS, HPS1

- This firmware package runs in a DOS environment. 
- A bootable USB drive key is required. 
- A utility is included that will make a USB drive key bootable.
- The firmware package files are then copied to the bootable USB drive key.
- Boot the system from the USB drive key and follow the on screen 
instructions.

HP does not recommend trying to apply this firmware package to drives other 
than those identified in the previous list.
