This package provides a firmware upgrade that is specifically designed for
Hitachi Ultrastar 15K450 15,000-rpm Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Hard Drives in
the supported workstation models running a supported operating system.
NOTE: The following drive model strings and firmware revision levels, which are
visible with most drive inquiry tools, correspond to the drives for which this
upgrade is applicable:
- Hitachi HUS154545VL300, HPH1
- Hitachi HUS154530VL300, HPH1
HP does not recommend trying to apply this firmware package to drives other
than those identified in the preceding list.
This package contains files that are intended to be used with a DOS bootable
USB Key Drive. A utility is included that will make a USB Key Drive DOS
bootable. The USB Key Drive will contain all the necessary files to update the
identified hard drives.
