This package provides Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools for the supported
desktop models and operating systems.
Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools is a security layer that protects access
to your computer and your data. This package provides Java Card access that is
shared with HP ProtectTools Security Manager and Credential Manager for HP
ProtectTools.
NOTE: Before installing Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools, this package
checks to ensure that the appropriate version of HP ProtectTools Security
Manager is installed on the desktop. If the appropriate version of HP
ProtectTools Security Manager is not installed, this package installs the
appropriate version of the HP ProtectTools Security Manager prior to installing
Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools.
Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools does not upgrade from HP Smart Card
Security for ProtectTools; it is a different application.
Java Card Security for HP ProtectTools cannot be installed on a platform that
has ActivClient Gold installed; the two applications cannot co-exist.
