How to support HP OpenView Data Protector Open File Backup (BA152AA) with HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express

A couple of steps need to be take, before Data Protector Express can use the open file backup features of HP Open File Backup.

If you have HP OpenView Data Protector Open File Backup already installed make sure you're using at least version 9.401M,
(the package ofm94Img.exe you have in front of you is version 9.401M),
Otherwise take this installation package to install HP OpenView Data Protector Open File Backup for the first time.
In any case, please follow the instructions in the OFMHelp.pdf file.

After version 9.401M or higher is installed you need to replace two files, which are in the ofm94Img.exe package:
- ofmnt25.agt (for Windows agents)
- ofmnw25.agt (for Netware agents)

Please identify these files in the current installation directory (default is C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\OFM\NT
resp. C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\OFM\NW).

After these files were replaced HP OpenView Data Protector Open File Backup can be configured.

Any clients which were installed before need to be re-installed:
- stop the agent on the client system
- uninstall the agent on the client system
- do a fresh install of the agent on the client system
- reboot the client system
- start the agent on the client system again

Verify, that the files were replaced correctly:
- open the HP OpenView Data Protector Open File Backup GUI
- search for an installed HP OpenView Data Protector Open File Backup client
- open the properties of this client and go to the "Agents" tab
- open the HP tree and verify that "HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express" is in the list, and is selected.
