This SoftPaq installs Microsoft fixes and enhancements for Windows XP. These enhancements are designed to improve notebook performance.

FIXES:
- Removes/uninstalls Microsoft Windows Update 810090, which is required before
installing Microsoft Windows Update 822603.
- Installs Microsoft Windows Update 822603 to fix the issue documented in
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 822603, "Availability of the Windows XP
SP1 USB 1.1 and 2.0 Update."
- Installs Microsoft Windows Update 815485 to fix the issue documented in
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 815485, "Overview of the WPA Wireless
Security Update in Windows XP."
- Installs Microsoft Windows Update 810243 to fix the issue documented in
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 810243, "DirectShow Playback Support for
Files Recorded with Windows XP Media Center Edition."
- Installs Microsoft Windows Update 329623 to fix the issue documented in
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 329623, "Problems with InterVideo DVD
Software After Upgrading to Windows XP Service Pack 1."
- Installs registry fix to enable S3 Wake function.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. |
