DESCRIPTION
On systems described in the "Scope," the Host Embedded Controller (HECI) driver may not be installed. Symtoms may include:
- When viewed in the Device Manager, PCI Serial Port and PCI Simple Communications Controller will be displayed with a yellow triangle and exclamation mark indicating that the driver is not installed.
- Remote wakeup may not work
- CPU power throttling may not work as expected
RESOLUTION
HP has posted a SoftPaq that installs the AMT driver and resolves the issue. Please use the following instructions to locate and download
Intel(R) AMT LMS_SOL for AMT 7.xx
, Version 7.1.2.1041, Revision H (or later).
