PRODUCT CHANGE NOTIFICATION
HP Optical Disc Drives with LightScribe Technology are Being Discontinued in HP Desktop Workstations
DETAILS OF CHANGE
Beginning in May 2011, HP LightScribe® technology optical disc drives will be at the end of their production life. HP will continue to ship PCs with HP LightScribe technology until the current supply of these optical drives is depleted. After the supply has been depleted, HP will use drives with equivalent features and functionality but without HP LightScribe technology. This will result in some systems shipping with HP LightScribe drives and some without. Eventually, all HP Desktop Workstation models will transition to drives without LightScribe technology. The time it takes to transition may vary by model.
