DESCRIPTION
Patch 10041-02 for the HP LeftHand P4300 and P4500 Storage Systems cannot detect a 10Gb Ethernet board in the half height PCI-Express slot. The half height slot enumerates to PCI address 6:00.0, which is not supported by the 10041-02 patch. The patch fails with the status,
Could not detect 10Gb adapter PCI device ID in /proc/bus/pci/devices. Device=<device id>, please call Customer Support. Patch failed

NOTE: Patch 10041-02 is required to load the 10Gb driver and to change the firmware in order to support the Ethernet board.
