VULNERABILITY SUMMARY

Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified with HP System Management Homepage (SMH) for Linux and Windows. These vulnerabilities could by exploited remotely resulting in cross site scripting (XSS).

SUPPORTED SOFTWARE VERSIONS*: ONLY impacted versions are listed.

HP System Management Homepage (SMH) versions prior to v2.1.2 running on Linux and Windows.

Note: One of the potential vulnerabilities affects older versions of SMH. These older versions are no longer supplied. They can be identified by the following text: "Compaq HTTP Server vX.Y" where X is 5 or lower. The text is displayed in the bottom left corner of the page displayed at http://server:2301 or https://server:2381. Customers running these versions of SMH should contact HP Support for upgrade information.

RESOLUTION

HP has provided System Management Homepage (SMH) v2.1.2 or subsequent to resolve these vulnerabilities. The current version, SMH v2.1.8, is available from the following web sites:
