Digital Senders are office communication devices that can send paper quickly and easily through digital channels, such as e-mail, network fax and Jetsend.
The HP Digital Sender 9100c works with other devices and programs so you can:
E-mail - Send a document directly to Internet e-mail destinations.
Fax - Fax a document to one or more destinations (if your company has a LAN fax program).
Make copies - Make high-quality copies by sending a document to a network printer.
Send to your computer - Send a document to your computer and use it in programs, such as the included Adobe (R) Circulate and Acrobat Exchange (R) programs. There, you can file documents, search for text, and add text notes.
Send to another program - Send a document to a network folder so the document is available to a program on the network.
Send to an HP Jetsend-enabled device - The digital sender is an HP Jetsend-enabled device that can send documents to other HP Jetsend-enabled devices in your office.
The HP Digital Sender 9100c is a 300 dpi optical resolution sender with ability to digitally enhance to 600 dpi.
The HP Digital Sender 9100c can be directly connected to TCP/IP networks. The unit includes a flatbed scanner as well as an automatic document feeder (ADF) that can accept up to 50 pages.
The HP Digital Sender 9100c supports LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), which allows you to find e-mail addresses, located on directory servers located elsewhere on a network.
The HP Digital Sender 9100c comes with an HP Jetdirect print server installed and is fully compatible with the LAN fax capabilities found in the HP Network Scanjet 5 scanner.

Software information
The software consists of four components:
HP Digital Sender Link. This program is necessary if you want to send documents to your computer.
HP Address Book Manager (ABM). The ABM program is the means for adding, changing, and deleting fax and e-mail destinations stored in the digital sender. It is also needed for viewing the activity log.
Adobe Exchange program. Use this program to alter scanned documents by adding text notes, cropping and rotating pages, and more.

Hewlett-Packard Limited Warranty Statement
HP warrants HP hardware, accessories, and supplies against defects in materials and workmanship for the period specified above. If HP receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, HP will, at its option, either repair or replace products, which prove to be defective. Replacement parts may be either new or like new.
HP warrants that HP software will not fail to execute its programming instructions, for the period specified above, due to defects in material and workmanship when properly installed and used. If HP receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, HP will replace software media that does not execute its programming instructions due to such defects.
HP does not warrant that the operation of HP products will be uninterrupted or error free. If HP is unable, within a reasonable time, to repair or replace any product to a condition as warranted, customer would be entitled to a refund of the purchase price upon prompt return of the product.
HP products may contain remanufactured parts equivalent to new in performance or may have been subject to incidental use.
The warranty period begins on the date of the delivery or on the date of installation if installed by HP. If customer schedules or delays HP installation more than 30 days after delivery, warranty begins on the 31st day from delivery.
Warranty does not apply to defects resulting from improper or inadequate maintenance or calibration, software, interfacing, parts or supplies not supplied by HP, unauthorized modification or misuse, operation outside of the published environmental specifications for the product, or improper site preparation or maintenance.

Operation of the digital sender beyond the limit of its nominal duty cycle (scanning greater than the equivalent of 10,000 pages per month) shall be deemed digital sender abuse and all repairs thereafter are to be billed on a time-and-materials basis. |
