HP LaserJet 1000 Series Printer - Available Downloads for the Printer

The following downloads are available for the HP LaserJet 1000 series printer. Click here to download HP LaserJet 1000 series printer software from www.hp.com .
HP LaserJet 1000 host based driver
The HP LaserJet 1000 host based printer driver is an updated driver (version 5.05.0926.00) that will give basic printer functions from Windows-based applications.
HP LaserJet 1000 printing software solution
The HP LaserJet 1000 printer software solution is a complete software package including the updated driver (version 5.05.0926) as well as all of the software components included with the original CD-ROM. These software components are:
  • HP LaserJet 1000 DOS driver
  • HP LaserJet 1000 Printer Status Monitor
  • Uninstall Utility
  • ReadMe Files
  • Register on line option
  • Late Breaking ReadMe
  • HP LaserJet 1000 software patch
The HP LaserJet 1000 patch available for download is a software patch only for the product; it is not a full installation of the printing software. In order to use this software download, the full software from the inbox CD must be installed on the computer.
The HP LaserJet 1000 patch addresses the Cannot write to USB001 error. This error occurs occasionally upon sending a print job to the LaserJet 1000. Restarting either the PC in use or the printer sometimes triggers it. The root cause of this error may stem from a variety of sources, however, the one major occurrence of this error, the "Firmware Timeout" is understood and will be corrected by the software patch.
