HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5100 and h5500 - Troubleshooting Expansion Cards

Problem Solution
I cannot get my HP iPAQ Pocket PC to recognize the expansion card.
  • Be sure the expansion card has been pushed down firmly into the HP iPAQ Pocket PC.
  • Be sure the appropriate card has been inserted into the appropriate slot.
  • Be sure any third-party drivers are installed.
I cannot insert my card.
  • Be sure the label is facing the front of the unit.
  • Be sure the card is not being inserted at an angle.
  • Be sure the connection area is being inserted first.
I cannot remove my SD card. Push the SD card in to release the locking mechanism. The card will pop out slightly and can then be easily removed.
My HP iPAQ Pocket PC cannot recognize my card.
  • Be sureany drivers that came with the expansion card that was purchased have been loaded.
  • Reset the device by using the stylus to lightly press the Reset button on the bottom of the unit.
