Where to get the latest firmware
Prior to the release of the printer please contact your Technical Marketing Engineers responsible for this product for further details of retrieving the Firmware files.
We will be providing an FTP link with the files which are approximate 180MB.
Once the Product has released the firmware will be on
www.hp.com

/Status Pages
menu press the OK
button.
Scroll down using the hard arrow to the Configuration page
option and press OK
.
Scroll back up to the top to the Print
option.
Press the hard OK
button.
On the printed Configuration page look in the section marked Device Information
for the Firmware Datecode and Firmware Revision. The Firmware Datecode and Firmware Revision will look something like this:
Firmware Datecode: 20100831
Firmware Revision: 103067_104746
Active and Repository Firmware locations
The Firmware Bundle now consists of multiple parts. The main components are the Windows CE Operating System and the printer/peripheral firmware files.
There are two locations/partitions on the hard drive that the Firmware components reside:
The Active – where the Operating System and Firmware currently are running
The Repository – the recovery location
If the Active location is damaged or a Partial Clean was performed, the printer will automatically copy over the OS and Firmware files from the Repository location and will recover the printer.
If both the Active and Repository locations are damaged or a Clean Disk was performed then both locations will be lost and the printer will display a 99.09.67
error. You will be required to upload firmware to the printer in order for it to function again.
| WARNING:
|
The Clean Disk
option will perform a disk initialization for the entire disk and your operating system, firmware files, third party solution and much more will be completely lost. This is not a recommended action. |
