Product description
The Scripting Toolkit simplifies high volume ProLiant server deployment by delivering a hands-off, unattended installation and configuration solution
Product features
HP offers the new SmartStart Scripting Toolkit Win32 and Linux Edition. The Scripting Toolkit simplifies high volume ProLiant server deployment by delivering a hands-off, unattended installation and configuration solution. Using SmartStart technology, the Scripting Toolkit provides a flexible way to create standard server configuration scripts. These scripts are used to automate many of the manual steps in the server configuration process. This automated process cuts time from each server deployment, making it possible to scale servers to high volumes in rapid fashion.
The SmartStart Scripting Toolkit supports ProLiant ML/DL 300, 500 and 700 series, and BL servers. The Scripting Toolkit includes a modular set of utilities and important documentation that describe how to apply these tools to build an automated server deployment process. The SmartStart Scripting Toolkit is designed for IT experts with experience in scripting operating system installations and configuring ProLiant server hardware. Click here for the latest features .
SmartStart assists the server deployment process by preparing the system for installing "off-the-shelf" versions of leading operating system software. SmartStart takes advantage of embedded ROM-based utilities that enables server and array controller configuration. SmartStart automatically installs optimized ProLiant server support software, known as ProLiant Support Packs (PSPs), with every assisted installation. SmartStart is included in the ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack and ships standard with every ProLiant ML and DL 300, 500, and 700 series of servers.
