Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3100/H3600/H3700 Series - Resetting the Unit


Limited reset
To do a limited reset on the HP iPAQ Handheld the unit must be powered on. Using the stylus, press and release the recessed Reset button on the bottom right of the unit. The HP iPAQ should restart automatically.
NOTE: A Limited Reset does not erase any data saved in RAM.

Full reset
To do a full reset use the stylus to slide the power switch cover to the right. The power switch cover is located on the bottom left of the unit. Use the stylus to move the revealed power switch to the right. Wait one minute, then slide the power switch back to the left. The HP iPAQ should start up automatically. Follow the instructions on the onscreen setup wizard.
CAUTION: Doing a full reset will erase all data in RAM, including installed programs, contact and calendar information.
