HP Color LaserJet 2605 - Configure the IP Address
The HP Color LaserJet 2605 series allows you to set up an IP address automatically using BOOTP or DHCP.
You can configure the IP address manually or automatically.
Configure a static IP address for my printer
Use the following steps to manually configure a static IP address from the control panel.
Press 
( Left arrow

) to select the Network config
menu. Press 
( Select

) to select the TCP/IP
menu. Press

) to select Manual
. Press

) to enter the first three digits of the IP address. Press
( Select
) to save those digits and move to the next three digits of the IP address. Press
( Left arrow

( Right arrow
) to enter the next three digits of the IP address. Press
( Select
) to save those digits and move to the next three digits of the IP address. Press
( Left arrow
) or
( Right arrow
) to enter the next three digits of the IP address. Press
( Select
) to save those digits and move to the next three digits of the IP address. Press
( Left arrow
) or
( Right arrow
) to enter the next three digits of the IP address. Press
( Select
). The control panel will display Yes
. Press
( Select
) to save the configuration, or to delete and re-enter another IP address, press
( Left arrow
) or
( Right arrow
), which will change the display to No
. After selecting the IP address, you will be prompted to enter the subnet mask and default gateway using steps 7-14 above.
If at any time during the configuration you press 
( Cancel Job
), the system will exit the menu and the addresses will not be saved.
Automatic configuration
On the control panel menu, press
( Select
). Use the
( Left arrow
) or
( Right arrow
) button to select Network config.

) button to select TCPIP config

). Use the
( Left arrow

) button to select Automatic

). It may take several minutes before the automatic IP address is ready for use.

If you want to disable or enable specific automatic IP modes (such as BOOTP, DHCP, or AutoIP), these settings can be changed by using the embedded Web server or HP ToolboxFX only. |
