HP Deskjet 450 Mobile Printer series - Bluetooth Hardware Setup and Testing

Bluetooth Setup
  1. Look at the back of the DeskJet 450 printer. In between the Parallel and USB adapter slots, you will find a slot for a Compact Flash card as seen in Figure 1.
  2. Hold the HP or ANYCOM printer card by the blue area on the antenna and insert it into the slot on the slot of the DeskJet 450 with the label facing upward.

  3. Do a TAP TEST # 4 to check the version of the Firmware. Print the diagnostic page to view the current firmware version information by doing the following:
    1. With the printer on and in a Ready state, press and hold down the POWER button.
    2. While holding down the POWER button, press the RESUME button four times.
    3. Release the POWER button to start printing the Diagnostic page. The Printer Information section of this page lists the firmware revision as "FW Revision."

    If you do not have the correct firmware, the following pages may not print out.
  4. Do a TAP TEST # 4 to check the status of the Bluetooth Device. Print the tap test # 4 by doing the following:
    1. With the printer on and in a Ready state, press and hold down the POWER button.
    2. While holding down the POWER button, press the RESUME button four times.
    3. Release the POWER button to start printing the Diagnostic page. The Printer Information section of this page lists the firmware revision as "FW Revision."

  5. Do a TAP TEST #4 to check to see if the printer recognizes the card. Print the tap test # 4 by doing the following:
    1. With the printer on and in a Ready state, press and hold down the POWER button.

    3. Release the POWER button to start printing the Diagnostic page. The Printer Information section of this page lists the firmware revision as "FW Revision."
