HP Universal Print Driver - Unable to communicate message in dynamic mode when searching by (host) name ISSUE: When searching for the device by hostname with UPD 5.2 or 5.2.5 in dynamic mode (PCL5, PCL6 or PS) the status Unable to communicate is displayed. Printing is unaffected, only the device status is incorrect. This issue also affects the status notification popup (SNP). SOLUTION: A fix for this issue is planned for UPD 5.2.6. This version of UPD is expected to be available by March 1, 2011. WORKAROUND: Instead of searching the printer by hostname or Fully Qualified Domain Name, search for the printer by IP address.
