HP Scanjet G4000 Photo Scanner Series - Unable to Complete HP Software Installation due to Product Registration Issue

ISSUE:
The software installation process could not be completed because the product registration wizard is not connecting to the HP Website, even though the HP website is accessible directly from the internet web browsers.
SOLUTION:
This issue could happen due to the internet security settings/browser settings or firewall settings. This can be resolved by canceling the registration process and then manually register the product after completing the software installation process. Complete the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. During the software installation process, when the “S ign up now �? window pops up, click on the “Cancel �? button.
  2. Another window with "Reminder Options " message pops up. Select "Don't remind me again " option and click on the "Ok " button.
  3. Complete the HP Software installation process and then try to register the HP scanner again.
  4. To register the HP scanner after the installation, go to Star t > Programs > HP > Scanjet > G4000 series > Click Product Registration .
  5. The "Sign up now " window pops up again. Follow the prompts available to successfully register the HP scanner.
