HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario PCs - DVD-ROM Is Detected As Writable Device By RecordNow Application

ISSUE:
RecordNow Application shows the DVD-ROM drive as writable device.
This issue only affects to those HP Pavilion or Compaq Presario Desktops bundled with a DVD-ROM device and a Liteon CD-RW. To know the kind of CD-RW drive that your PC has, follow the instructions below:
  1. Click Start , then Control Panel .
  2. Double-click the System icon. Click the Hardware tab and the Device Manager button.
    The Device Manager window will appear.
  3. Double-click the DVD/CD-ROM drives entry.
    One or more entries will appear. Check the entry that refers to the CD-RW device to know its specifications.
SOLUTION:
Change the writing device in the RecordNow Application and select the CD-RW drive.
The way of changing the writable device may be different depending on the RecordNow Application version that your PC has. Below there are to graphics that show how to change the writable device in two different RecordNow versions.
NOTE: If the graphics below do not apply for the RecordNow Application version that your PC has, please, check the Help feature of the application to know how to change the writable device.

CAUSE:
The DVD-ROM drive is positioned in the top bay as master device.
