HP Printers - Mac OS X: The Paper Size Defaults to US Letter Every Time I Print in Mac OS X 10.3.x

ISSUE:
In Mac OS X v 10.3.x, each time you attempt to print, the paper size may default to US Letter.
SOLUTION:
No solution, use the workaround below.
WORKAROUND:
  1. Select the Apple from the menu bar.
  2. Choose System Preferences.
  3. Open Print & Faxes.
  4. From the Default Paper Size , choose the desired size.
  5. Quit System Preferences .
If MS Word continues to default to US Letter:
  1. Open the Templates folder.
  2. Go to the Macintosh hard drive.
  3. Go to the Applications folder.
  4. Open the Microsoft Office folder.
  5. Open the Templates folder.
  6. Open the Normal template, which is in the Templates folder.
  7. Choose Page Setup from the File menu.
  8. Set the Paper Size field to your preferred size.
  9. Click OK .
  10. Save the document.
  11. Quit Word.
