Windows MPIO DSM for XP v3.01.00 - Will Have Windows Perfmon Hung In "No LUN Presented" Environment

ISSUE:
On a PC server running HP MPIO FF DSM XP v3.01 to which no any XP LUN is presented, once the user opens Windows Perfmon and tries to add a counter, then Windows Perfmon will hang.
SOLUTION:
There are the following two workarounds regarding this problem:
Workaround 1:
Rename the file HPPerfProv.dll and reboot Windows. Windows Perfmon will work well when perfmon the category "HP DSM High Performance" is missing.
Workaround 2:
Have at least 1 LUN presented, and Windows Perfmon will work well with the category "HP DSM High Performance".
